Black Healthcare & Wellness Career Panel

Virtual Campus | 7:00pm–8:30pm

In celebration of Black History Month, the KUS BIPOC committee is hosting a professional career development event called the Black Healthcare and Wellness Professional Panel. It will feature four speakers in kinesiology-related careers (e.g., kinesiologist, personal trainer, yoga teacher, and physician).

Many students of colour feel discouragement when pursuing career options related to Kinesiology post-graduation, in part due to the overrepresentation of white individuals among faculty and staff. As a primary outcome of our event, we hope to encourage students of colour to pursue careers related to Kinesiology after seeing and engaging with an example representation of Black professionals with health and wellness backgrounds.

For more up to date information about the event and to pre-register, please check out the FB event page or our IG page: @kusbipoc
